Curious about Prerequisites? ALL prerequisites should be completed by June 10th. WBT - Web based training available in EDGE. ILT - Instructor led class only. If you are registered for an ILT prerequisite at the Training Conference it will be applied to the appropriate class needed at the Training Conference.

Powered Industrial Truck Operator is a blended learning, basic level course consisting of a video module and an instructor-led (ILT) module.
Module 1 –BIO05VID011004EHS Powered Industrial Truck Operator is an OSHA-compliant powered industrial truck training using a Red Cross Biomedical contracted video presentation. Participants are required to view the video before attending Module 2.
Module 2–BIO05WK011003EHS Powered Industrial Truck Operator is an instructor-led training that uses the Module 1 content to deliver hands-on training, including a powered industrial truck inspection and operator checklist and driving test.
Because this is a blended learning course, participants must work with their Logistics leads, regional training leads, Powered Industrial Truck Operator approved instructors, and EDGE administrators to be sure a Module 2 has been scheduled before taking Module 1.
These courses meet the requirements to work in Red Cross facilities that are managed by national headquarters or regions on a day to day basis, or ones that are opened to support a disaster relief operation on a temporary basis.
It is important that only those Red Cross workers who qualify for and will work in Logistics or Mass Care warehousing activities be given access to the course. Participants who take Module 2 of this course are required to wear solid closed toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for warehouse work. No loose-fitting clothing should be worn.
